Registration Fees


You do not have to be a member of the American Chemical Society or the ACS Division of Chemical Education to attend or present at the BCCE. The BCCE program will be accessed through the ACS website (if you are not a current member of ACS, you can still register for free and use all of the tools and apps for the conference).

The registration fee includes a 25th BCCE Conference Bag, Conference Badge, and water bottle. The conference bag contains a printed copy of the program ppocket guide, event tickets, and other printed materials from sponsors of the conference. The badge covers admittance to plenary and keynote sessions, exhibit area, symposia, social events, and transportation on shuttles.

Limited copies of the printed program book will be available for purchase -- they may be paid for during the registration process or at the conference registration desk if supplies are available.

  • Lunch is included in the registration fee for Mon, Tue and Wed.
  • Sunday evening will be on your own at our Food Truck Extravaganza located outside the Compton Ice Arena -- the location for our opening plenary session. That will be followed by a dessert reception in Duncan Hall.
  • Monday evening will include HEAVY hors d'oeuvre and the Ice Cream Social during the Exhibit/Poster Session.
  • Tuesday evening the conference will provide bus transportation for venues in Downtown South Bend. Tuesday dinner is on-your-own.
  • Wednesday evening will include HEAVY hors d'oeuvre for Al D. Hyde and the KeyTones Bash.

For insurance reasons, all accompanying guests using on-campus housing or attending any 25th BCCE functions MUST REGISTER with the conference. A guest badge will be issued to each guest that is attending with you. The badge covers admittance to plenary and keynote sessions, exhibit area, social events, and transportation on shuttles. It does not provide a conference bag with its materials nor beverage tickets for any events.

There will be no single day registrations available for the 25th BCCE except for the K-8 Program Day.

As of June 20, on-campus housing is sold out. There are plenty of off-campus hotel rooms still available (see the off-campus housing page for a listing and links to our blocks). If you would like to be placed on a waitlist for on-campus housing, please contact the Conference Center at 574-631-6691.

On-Campus Housing Fees - The price for a single occupancy room is ($66/night); a double occupancy room is ($55/person per night).

  • Blankets, sheets, and towels are provided during your stay.
  • Lavatories and showers are shared in common with separate men's and women's facilities on each floor. All of our residence halls, including the West Quad halls that BCCE is assigned to, have community style bathrooms. This means that a floor section (anywhere from 10-30 people) all share the same bathroom. Floor sections in the BCCE halls will be segmented by gender.
  • There is no provision for more than two persons per room. Requests for adjoining rooms cannot be guaranteed, but will be honored if possible.
  • No minors or pets are allowed to stay in residence hall rooms.
  • The fees are all inclusive -- that is all taxes are included in these rates.
  • The residence hall desks are open for check-in from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m.. Should you arrive outside of that time frame, there will be a number posted on the hall door for the Hall Manager to let you in. Residence hall accommodations.
  • If you are staying in the residence hall, be advised that these rooms are designed for student use. The rooms are air-conditioned, but there are no telephones nor shower/bath facilities in individual rooms, so bathrobes, shower shoes, etc. are suggested. Soap, bed linens and towels are provided. Specific problems with rooms should be referred to the Hall Manager; if the problem persists, please report it to the Information Desk at the Conference Center. Please keep your room locked when you are not present.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made in writing to ND Conferences will be refunded in full less a $50 processing fee through June 1, 2018. After June 2, no refunds will be made. This includes on campus housing changes.

BCCE Registration Dates...


Early Registration (best fees) is from opening of registration in early April through 11:59 PM on 1 June 2018.

Late Registration begins on 2 June 2018 and runs through 6 July 2018.

After 6 July 2018, you may only register on-site in the McKenna Hall Conference Center.
