You do not have to be a member of the American Chemical Society or the ACS Division of Chemical Education to attend or present at the BCCE. The BCCE program will be accessed through the ACS website (if you are not a current member of ACS, you can still register for free and use all of the tools and apps for the conference).

The registration fee includes a 25th BCCE Conference Bag, Conference Badge, and water bottle. The conference bag contains a printed copy of the program ppocket guide, event tickets, and other printed materials from sponsors of the conference. The badge covers admittance to plenary and keynote sessions, exhibit area, symposia, social events, and transportation on shuttles.

Limited copies of the printed program book will be available for purchase -- they may be paid for during the registration process or at the conference registration desk if supplies are available.

Additional fees are charged for workshops (see listing of workshop for the specific fees), outings, and tours

Meals:

  • Lunch is included in the registration fee for Mon, Tue and Wed.
  • Sunday evening will be on your own at our Food Truck Extravaganza located outside the Compton Ice Arena -- the location for our opening plenary session. That will be followed by a dessert reception in Duncan Hall.
  • Monday evening will include HEAVY hors d'oeuvre and the Ice Cream Social during the Exhibit/Poster Session.
  • Tuesday evening the conference will provide bus transportation for venues in Downtown South Bend. Tuesday dinner is on-your-own.
  • Wednesday evening will include HEAVY hors d'oeuvre for Al D. Hyde and the KeyTones Bash.

For insurance reasons, all accompanying guests using on-campus housing or attending any 25th BCCE functions MUST REGISTER with the conference. A guest badge will be issued to each guest that is attending with you. The badge covers admittance to plenary and keynote sessions, exhibit area, social events, and transportation on shuttles. It does not provide a conference bag with its materials nor beverage tickets for any events.

  • Blankets, sheets, and towels are provided during your stay.
  • Lavatories and showers are shared in common with separate men's and women's facilities on each floor. • The residence hall desks are open for check-in from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m.. Should you arrive outside of that time frame, there will be a number posted on the hall door for the Hall Manager to let you in. Residence hall accommodations.
  • If you are staying in the residence hall, be advised that these rooms are designed for student use. The rooms are air-conditioned, but there are no telephones nor shower/bath facilities in individual rooms, so bathrobes, shower shoes, etc. are suggested. Soap, bed linens and towels are provided. Specific problems with rooms should be referred to the Hall Manager; if the problem persists, please report it to the Information Desk at the Conference Center. Please keep your room locked when you are not present.
